About Juvederm® Vollure XC
Juvéderm Vollure XC is the latest advancement and member of the Juvéderm family. Approved by the FDA, in April of 2017, Vollure is the first and only hyaluronic acid dermal filler that will correct moderate to severe wrinkles and folds in the face (such as nasolabial folds) for adults age 21 and older. Lasting as long as 18 months, our top Juvéderm providers at Ventura Institute of Dermatologic Arts use Vollure alone, or in combination, with other injectables for full facial rejuvenation.
How Does Vollure XC work?
Juvéderm Vollure XC is a smooth, clear gel administered by our expert injectors with a small needle into the skin of moderate to severe folds for instant rejuvenation. Vollure is comprised of hyaluronic acid, which is a naturally occurring sugar molecule automatically found in your body. As a lubricating fluid, it has a very high capacity to hold water and works to plump skin to support facial structures that have lost volume due to aging. Vollure is formulated by adding a special proprietary technology called Vycross® to the hyaluronic acid, and together they act as a cohesive gel. A safe choice to help turn back the hands of time, Vollure is often combined with other Juvéderm products or Botox for non-surgical facial rejuvenation.

What to Expect with Your Vollure® Treatment
Together with your VIDA injector, your Vollure goals for outcome will be discussed to ensure you are both on the same page prior to treatment. Then, we apply numbing cream for approximately 20 minutes prior to treatment to minimize any discomfort with the injection. The gel formulation in Vollure also contains lidocaine (local anesthetic) to make the procedure more comfortable as well. The actual treatment may take approximately 20-30 minutes and the results are instant. An ice pack is applied immediately after to help minimize bruising and swelling, which can happen with any injectable treatment. Normal activity can be resumed immediately after your appointment and any bruising or swelling will typically reside within 3-7 days.
