ACCEPTED INSURANCE PLANS
At Ventura Institute of Dermatologic Arts (VIDA), we accept most types of insurances. Medicare included. We also accept patients without medical insurance.
VIDA is contracted as a provider for many major health insurance carriers, including various plans within each company. Because we may accept particular insurance plans, this is by no means a guarantee of coverage. It is the patient’s responsibility to know what insurance company currently provides his or her coverage and the details of that coverage – including which treatments and procedures are covered within a particular plan.
In many cases, cosmetic procedures are often not provided or covered by health insurance, and you are financially responsible to pay for them out-of-pocket. To help, VIDA offers CareCredit®, a flexible patient payment program, specifically designed for healthcare expenses, that makes it easier for you to get the treatments and procedures you want or need.
VIDA accepts the following health insurance plans:
- Anthem Blue Cross PPO (certain plans only)
- Blue Shield of California PPO (certain plans only)
- Gold Coast Health Plan (school district version)
- Tricare (Standard/Life — not Prime)
- United PPO (certain plans only)
- Union Insurance (most plans)
- Ventura County Health (direct referral required)
- Western Growers
Employers often change plans annually, so we will ask to see your insurance card/information at each visit. This step helps to ensure that our records are accurate and your claim may be filed and paid with as little inconvenience to you as possible. Please, have the following Subscriber or Insured’s information available when you schedule your appointment AND when you check in for your appointment:
- Date of Birth
- ID# or Social Security Number
- Policy Information
Payment is expected at the time services are rendered for medical and cosmetic services, and products. For your convenience, we accept many insurance plans (listed above) and offer an array of other payment options, including cash and check, some major credit cards, and CareCredit®.
Please note, most treatments for skin diseases are covered by insurance to some degree. However, many cosmetic procedures are not covered under many medical healthcare plans. And, to make it more complex, a procedure that is categorized as medial dermatology and covered under one plan, may be considered cosmetic dermatology and not covered under another, even though it is actually the same service being provided. Please refer to your individual plan for such coverage details.
We accept major credit cards including VISA, American Express, Discover and MasterCard.
For cosmetic patients wanting the ability to pay over time with low minimum monthly payments, Ventura Institute of Dermatologic Arts offers CareCredit®. A leader in the patient financing industry, CareCredit® provides a combination of short-term interest free and longer term low interest plans. Transaction minimums and some restrictions apply so visit their web site for complete details.
